Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement
The agreement between you and AI Soft (Pty) Ltd covering use of the GraceHub website and mobile apps.
Last updated: 2026-09-01
1. Agreement, and who it is with
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and AI Soft (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us"), the publisher of GraceHub. By creating an account, installing the GraceHub app, or using the website, you accept them and our Privacy Policy.
If you are accepting on behalf of a church or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that organisation.
You must be 18 or older to open an account yourself. A person under 18 may use the app only where their church has created the account with the consent of a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian accepts these Terms on their behalf.
2. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use as a member or worker of a church that subscribes to the platform. The app is licensed, not sold.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent the law says you may despite this restriction.
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or redistribute it.
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notice.
- Use it to build a competing product, or to scrape or bulk-extract data.
- Circumvent authentication, rate limits, or the permission settings your church has configured.
- Use it for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any export-control or sanctions law.
3. Your account
- Accounts are created by your church's administrator. Keep your password secret and tell us immediately if you think someone else has it.
- Everything done through your account is your responsibility.
- Keep your details accurate, because your church relies on them to reach you.
- You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Settings → Delete account in the app, or at https://grace-hub.co.za/delete-account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
4. Content, conduct, and our zero-tolerance rule
There is ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content and for abusive behaviour towards other users. Content that breaks the rules below is removed, and the account responsible is suspended or terminated, in serious cases immediately and permanently, and reported to law enforcement.
The app lets you send messages, submit care and prayer requests, attach photographs, and share information with your group. You are responsible for what you post. You may not post, send or upload anything that:
- Sexualises a child in any way, or constitutes child sexual abuse or exploitation material. This is reported to the authorities without exception.
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, defames or intimidates any person.
- Promotes hatred or violence against a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age or any other protected ground.
- Is pornographic, obscene, or gratuitously violent.
- Encourages self-harm, suicide, or an eating disorder.
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, or promotes illegal activity or regulated goods.
- Impersonates another person, or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone.
- Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Discloses another member's personal information without their consent.
- Is spam, a chain message, or a solicitation unrelated to the life of the church.
- Contains malware, or is designed to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us and your church a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and transmit it for the sole purpose of operating the platform for your church. That licence ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies retained in backups or required for a safety or legal record.
5. Reporting, blocking and moderation
Every piece of member-generated content in the app can be reported, and every member can be blocked.
- Tap the ⋯ menu on a conversation, a care request, a group or a comment and choose Report to flag it. Inside a conversation, hold a message to report that one message.
- When you report, you can attach screenshots as evidence. We store them only to review the report, and we strip the location and camera data from an image before saving it.
- In the same menu, choose Block to stop receiving anything from that person. Blocking is immediate, works in both directions, and does not tell them.
- See and undo who you have blocked under Profile → Settings → Blocked people.
- Reports go to your church's administrators. Reports of child safety, threats of violence or self-harm also go straight to our own safety team, so they are never waiting on one person. We aim to act within 24 hours.
- We may remove content, send a private warning, or suspend an account — for a set period or until an administrator lifts it, within your church — up to permanently terminating it. Anything that appears to involve a child, or an immediate risk to life, is escalated at once and reported to the authorities.
- You can also email info@aisoft.co.za (or safety@grace-hub.co.za for child-safety concerns) if you would rather not report in the app.
We are not obliged to monitor everything posted, and we are not responsible for content another member creates. Content posted by members is not endorsed by us.
6. Giving, merchandise and tickets
- Donations
- A gift you make through the app goes to your church, not to us. Your church is the recipient and issues any tax receipt. Donations are voluntary, buy you nothing, unlock no feature of the app, and are not refundable once processed except where the law requires or the church agrees.
- Merchandise
- Physical goods sold by your church. Your church is the seller, sets the price, fulfils the order and handles returns under South African consumer law (including the Consumer Protection Act's cooling-off right for distance sales).
- Event tickets
- Admission to a real-world event run by your church. Your church sets the terms, including whether a ticket can be refunded or transferred.
- Church subscriptions
- Where a church subscribes to the platform, it pays us a monthly fee. How that is billed, how it is cancelled and when it is refunded are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy at https://grace-hub.co.za/refunds. Nothing in the member app charges a member for access.
Payments are taken by Paystack through its own secure checkout. For a gift this is Paystack's own secure payment form shown inside the app; for merchandise and tickets it opens on Paystack's page in your phone's browser. Either way your card details are entered into Paystack's own form and sent straight to Paystack — we never receive or store them. Nothing here is digital content or an app feature. A gift, a physical item and a seat at a real event are all things that exist outside the app, so none of it goes through the App Store or Google Play billing systems, which is what both stores' rules require for this kind of payment.
Fees. Paystack charges your church a processing fee on each transaction, and GraceHub charges the church a platform fee of 3% of the amount. Both are borne by the church, not added to what you pay: a gift of R100 costs you R100. The amount your church receives is R100 less those fees, and its finance team sees the split on every transaction.
For a refund or a query about a gift, an order or a ticket, contact your church first: the money settles into the church's own account, so the church is the only party that can reverse it. If you cannot reach them, email info@aisoft.co.za and we will help you get to the right person. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy at https://grace-hub.co.za/refunds sets all of this out in full, alongside the rules for church subscriptions.
7. Availability and changes
- We work to keep the platform available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
- We may add, change or withdraw features. For material reductions affecting churches we give 30 days' notice, except where a security or legal issue requires acting sooner.
- We may update these Terms. Material changes are notified by email and in the app before they take effect.
8. Disclaimers
Except as these Terms expressly say, and to the fullest extent the law allows, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Nothing here excludes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We do not give legal, tax, financial, medical or pastoral advice. Records the platform produces are a tool, not professional advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the amount paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or ZAR 1,000 if nothing was paid.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10. App Store and Google Play terms
Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, the following applies and prevails over anything inconsistent above:
- This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, and consumer protection claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, on your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
Where you obtained the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the app.
11. Ending this agreement
- You may stop using the platform at any time, and delete your account from within the app or on the website.
- We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for a serious breach of section 4, and otherwise on reasonable notice.
- Sections on content licences already granted, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protection of your own country's law.
Before going to court, please write to us at info@aisoft.co.za. Most disputes are resolved in a fortnight by someone reading the message. If that fails, the parties will attempt mediation in good faith before litigating.
